Reaching for the sky: the arches that will span Durban's new stadium are coming along. I was passing by there today and stopped off for this picture. The arches, and the stadium itself, are nothing if not impressive in size. The daredevils are probably already considering the feasibility of a trip up and over the stadium via the arches.I'm still not convinced that a city that can't afford a proper fire department or, apparently, to replace the bulbs in traffic signals should be building such a thing. This is especially so when you consider that there is already a perfectly good stadium situated not a stone's throw from this one.
